Good for Older People

1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men over the age of 50 will break a bone because of osteoporosis. A calcium rich diet will help to build strong bones and protect you from brittle and fragile bones in later life. Look out for bone friendly food. Falls and broken bones are less common in those who remain physically active as they get older. So walk to the shops!

Milk, yogurt, cheese and dairy ice cream are the easiest ways to get calcium. And it doesn’t have to be fattening – you can enjoy balanced, calcium rich meals without piling on the pounds!
